Each year the paint experts pick the color of the year. 2022 was Periwinkle and Viva Magenta is 2023. (Pantone’s choice)

My first painting of the year, appropriately named Viva Magenta, is part of my Healing Hand Series where I use only my hands as paint brushes and invoke each painting with prayer and intention.

Magenta is a combination of red and violet which connects our earthly roots (red chakra) and to our spiritual roots (violet chakra). This is a great combination of color that helps release our past and move us forward. The color magenta particularly helps stimulate the adrenaline and heart which in turns helps the circulatory system, the kidneys and adrenals, and the reproductive system.
